Chillin' with US # 66
It's Saturday, and you know what that means...another terrific sketch from the gals @ Unsrcipted Sketches!!! With all the heat lately, I decided to make a card to cool off LOL I just LOVE the cute polar bears in the Chillin' stamp set! As a base, I used the B & T from the Aspen paper pack and cut out the snowflake then added some stickles plus a button center. I stamped the polar bear in his igloo with Twilight ink and added a lil Prisma glitter for more sparkle. The snow is just torn White Daisy CS. I added silver eyelets with a bit of ribbon tied in knots and stamped the sentiment with Outdoor Denim ink. The i's are dotted with clear sparkles. Thanks for looking :)
My 1st Pencil Lines Sketch
I discovered a great new sketch blog called Pencil Lines! I'm really excited cuz I've found tons of blogs devoted to card making, but not so many for scrapbook layouts. I miss 52 sketches :( If you haven't checked PL out yet, I encourage you to do so! I'm also submitting this one in Pile It On's plastic challenge...I've got LOTS o plastic buttons on there LOL OOH and just realized this fits the challenge criteria over at Practical Scrappers...had to use at least 7 different items....I did :)

Sweet Baby
Here is my interpretation of the sketch over at Unscripted Sketches this week. I'm also submitting this LO to Scrap & Stamp, challenging us to use buttons and at least one stamp. The flowers are handmade using a crumpling technique. You can learn how to make your own with this *awesome* tutorial :) The journaling is on a tag hidden behind the photo. I don't always include a story, but wanted to explain that I had crocheted this outfit for my cousin's darling baby. Thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday 148/Hoppy Birthday
Another creation using the Live Simply Cricut cartridge. The sketch is from Mojo Monday. There's still time to play along with their challenge...it's too hot to do anything outdoors, so might as well spend time in your craft area, right? My cousin is gonna turn 40 in a couple weeks, and I plan on giving her this toad-ally cool birthday card :)

Emmalee & Elizabeth At Play
Took these pics when we visited my brother and his family at his new home on Memorial Day. The girls had such a good time playing together! I wasn't sure I'd get a pic of them in the jeep...everytime I lined up the shot in front of them, they hit the gas! LOL The sketch is from the CTMH Reflections How-to-Book and the title was generated using my cricut.

PCP: CAS Card Group Lesson 4
I am LOVING these lessons for Clean and Simple cards! If you haven't visited Paper Craft Planet lately, check out Lyn's FAB ideas :) Also, I just picked up a new cartridge(Live Simply, my new fave!) for my Cricut, and I'm having so much fun creating adorable creatures like this snail. Papertake Weekly is having a CUTE challenge and I think this one qualifies :)

Princess Emmalee
I created this LO using sketch # 64 over @ Unscripted Sketches. I usually make cards for these challenges, but this sketch seemed to be perfect for my scrapbook. Also the ladies over at Scrap & Stamp challenged us to create a LO using a B&W/sepia tone photo and at least one stamp. This is what I came up with :)
*All supplies are CTMH unless otherwise noted.

"Silhouette" Wedding Congrats
As soon as I saw this sketch from PCP, I knew it would be perfect for this card I wanted to make for my nephew. I just love this paper pack for wedding cards! I heat embossed the image made with the cake stamp(from my rubber stamp stash)and added a bit of prisma glitter. Also I've been dying to use my pretty pins and thought they added just the right pop of pink, along with the ribbon flower. The black border was made using a Fiskars punch and I put the brand new Opaques(pearls) from CTMH in the corners. I've been on a roll lately and I haven't felt like I'm trying too hard...hope this creative streak continues! :~)
"Bella" Thank You
I'm having fun trying new color combos. This is my first time using the CTMH Bella papers. They are so beautiful, and I think my favorite since they retired my beloved "Let's Get Together" PP. The LO is a rotated sketch from Originals. Add a Just Blooms paper flower with a button center, some White Daisy grosgrain ribbon, clear sparkles and stamp the sentiment (From Me to You SS) with olive ink...et voila!

With Sympathy...
Here is a card I created for a dear family member who lost her husband recently. I have gotten away from card making cuz it seems papercrafting has gotten so FANCY and it intimidates me a bit. I prefer to keep it clean & simple...I get more done that way. I certainly admire those of you who take all the time to create beatiful cards & LOs that truly are works of art, but I just can't seem to find the time :) So here is my CAS sympathy card...hope you like it!
CTMH supplies used: The Present SS; Comforting Thoughts SS; Treasures SS; Creme Brulee, Garden Green, Chocolate CS & inks; Colonial White CS; clear sparkles; Chocolate organdy ribbon.
