Two Peas in a Pod

How cute is this image??? It is from the Romantic Vegetables digital stamp set I purchased last week from SJ's Little Musings. If you aren't yet a Musings fan, you gotta visit her blog...the stamps are absolutely darling and SJ recently had some acrylics featured on QVC. Congrats Sarah Jane!!! Of course whenever I make a card, I always check out the sketch @ Unscripted Sketches. I LOVE the versatility of this one. Thanks for the inspiration ladies! I also created a matching envie using a Coluzzle template and Fiskars border punch :)

Recipe:
PP from DCWV Spring Stack
White Daisy & Watermelon cardstock (CTMH)
Metal charms & ribbon from my stash
Stickles on the heart(hard to see in photo)
Fiskars border punches
Note: I added the sentiment using my computer

The 3d Tuesday Challenge this week was to decorate a paper bag. What a great idea! We all have these lying around, and I can't tell you how many times I've had to stop at the dollar store on my way to an event just to grab a gift bag. I'm gonna make a few of these for different occassions and then I won't have to :)Thanks Keely Yowler for your idea and inspiration!!!

Corner Bookmark

I made one of these bookmarks last year for a Project Tuesday challenge, but recently lost it :( So, I've finally gotten around to making another and thought I'd share the instructions. These are super simple & quick to create. They'd be a great "giftie" for the avid reader in your life!

1. Mark the center of three sides of a 4 x 4" cardstock square.

2. Place cardstock square on your paper trimmer so two of the marked spots are aligned in the cutting groove and score with stylus.

3. Line up the other two markings creating another diagonal score.

4. Prefold your score lines.

5. Using a border punch, add a decorative border to the unscored side.

6. Line up a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4" pattern paper square diagonally in your paper trimmer & cut the square in half. You will need both triangles.

7. Attach one of the triangles on the front of the bookmark and embellish as desired.

8. Turn the bookmark over, fold corners in and apply Tacky Tape over them.

9. Adhere second triangle over the flaps.

10. Now go READ something and use your new uber cool bookmark!!! :)

Unscripted Sketches #88

Should old sketches {NOT} be forgot...

...what a GREAT challenge this week at Unscripted Sketches! I have been following this challenge blog practically from the beginning, and it was fun going through the archives and finding old sketches I've used in the past. It was hard to decide, but I finally chose Sketch #17. It seemed perfect for another page in my daughter's STILL unfinished *insert ashamed smiley* Halloween album. Thanks for looking :)
