Cute Card Thursday-BLING

Yep, another challenge LOL This one was to use some BLING. I think these flip flops (from the August Word Puzzle stamp set) are so adorable and the rhinestone flowers were the perfect accent! The papers are from the *NEW* Moon Doggie collection. I had some scraps left over from my last workshop, and what better way to make use of them, right? Papercrafters should NEVER throw anything away!

Mojo Monday #88

I came across a cool challenge yesterday called Mojo Monday. Although I am getting started kinda late, this is what I came up with for this week's sketch. I LOVE the flower pot kids -they're so cute!!! Also wanted to mention that the word "thanks" is actually straight NOT round, but I curved the stamp before placing it on my block to get the effect I wanted. Another great reason to use acrylic stamps-they're so versatile ;~)
Supplies used: "Emporium" paper packet; Flower Child & Love of My Life stamp sets; Vineyard Berry grosgrain ribbon; Colonial White brads.

"Best Buddies" Layout

I haven't been crafting much this week :( I had a bunch of reading to catch up on. But I did manage to put this layout together from our trip to Estero Island. I just love the photo of Tim hugging his Dad! The sketch/pattern is "Sidebar-Original" from the Reflections book. I used the Lazy Days paper packet, pewter spiral clips and photo hangers and White Daisy grosgrain ribbon. I cut the title from Cranberry CS using my Cricut.

Flower Pot Card

It was on my heart today to send a card to a dear friend who is battling cancer. I hope this brightens her day just a little. Thanks to Stampin' Up consultant Dawn G. for the idea :~)

CTMH supplies used: Chocolate, Cranberry, Blush, Buttercup & Sweet Leaf CS; White Daisy grosgrain ribbon; "Cottage Floral" & "Comforting Thoughts" stamp sets.

Miracle Cookies

1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup Splenda
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix ingredients together and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten with a fork. Bake @ 350 for 7 minutes. Remove to cooling racks.
I made these cookies yesterday, and they are to die for! Anyone following a low carb/whole foods WOE really appreciates having a sweet treat. The recipe uses only a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, and is so easy to prepare. Love it!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I was able to get another scrapbooking layout done this afternoon. I've been trying to work on the mountain of older photos I have stored in a tupperware bin. I can't believe how much the kids have changed (and yeah me too, LOL) Was it really that long ago I was 26??? And although I don't remember much about that day, I KNOW my dear Mom took the pics of me, because my head is cut off! Thank goodness for digital; now she can take as many pics as it takes to get a good one. Love you Mom! I used up the last of my "Sonata" paper pack, Hollyhock Bigger Brads, and decorated a Dimensional Elements Slide Frame. The pattern is from the CTMH How-To-Program, "Imagine".

Emma & the Easter Bunny

I FINALLY got some ink for my printer and my scanner is working again! Now I can finish up some layouts I've been trying to complete the last couple of months.

I was so thrilled when Emma worked up the courage to sit with the Easter Bunny! She hasn't done it since her first year as an infant. Her big sister Brittany and I had to prep her for weeks. We explained how she would get an easter surprise (MLP or Littlest Pet Shop, of course) and that this bunny was super sweet. Em had her eyes covered at first, but then got very brave and we now have this ADORABLE photo. Her Dad & I were very proud of her!!

Supplies used: "Sweet Pea" papers; clear sparkles; Just Blooms Big Pinks flowers; Spring craft buttons; blush ricrac; twine.

Mother's Day Card

I canNOT believe it's May! As usual time has gotten away from me and I'm behind on my card making :( BUT I managed to finish 5 Mother's Day cards today-WOOT! And they weren't even "quick" cards. When you pull on the ribbon stapled at the top, cards slide out both ends. *ADORABLE*, right? Supplies used: Bubblegum, White Daisy & Sunkiss Yellow CS; Sweet Leaf, Hollyhock & White Daisy ink pads; "From Me to You" & "Love Bug" stamp sets.
